Our Health Matters!

Our Health Matters (OHM) is more than a nonprofit—it is a reflection of lived experience and resilience.

Our leadership has walked the path of foster care, houselessness, and the challenges of navigating life

with limited support.

Through these struggles, we discovered the power of community, state services,

and education to transform lives.

We leaned on mentorship, recovery programs, and academic

opportunities to thrive

​

-earning BA degrees in Social Science, graduating magna cum laude, and

achieving certifications in LGBTQIA+ advocacy, Gerontology, Peer Recovery, Mentorship, End of Life

Support, First Aid & CPR, and more. Our team includes certified professionals, a retired RN, Level 2 Reiki practitioners, and Al-Kader Shriners Children’s Hospital Nobles. These accomplishments are proof that with support and determination, barriers can be overcome.

Now, through OHM, we help others overcome similar struggles with mentorship, service, and advocacy.
